  9. WHAT ACDB CAN DO
  10. ----------------
  11. ACDB (amiga cd [data] base) can download informations from CDDB
  12. database and save it locally in SCDP file format (CDID).
  13. At now, ACDB is in very early state and may (or may not :) crash
  14. your computer.
  15. Configuration only via icon TOOLTYPES.
  16. Only Polish docs are included...

  19. WHAT IS THE CDDB
  20. ----------------

  22. CDDB (CD database) is an information database containing artist, disc
  23. title, track titles, and other information for digital audio compact
  24. discs. Over time, this archive has grown to contain a substantial
  25. collection of CD information and is continuing to grow at a rapid rate.
  26. This database can be accessed by applications via the CDDB server hosts
  27. that have been set up on the Internet around the world.

  29. The CDDB data format and the CDDB servers are designed to be open, and
  30. are used by many client applications requiring CD information. CDDB has
  31. become the de facto standard for Internet access of compact disc
  32. information.
